Georgy Poltavchenko S.

 He was born on February 23, 1953 in a military family sailor in Baku.

 1976 - graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation (Mechanical Engineer Instrument Aerospace Medicine).
   1976 - engineer at a defense plant "Leninist."
   1978 - Instructor Nevsky district committee of Komsomol.

1979 - 1994 - Service in the KGB (KGB chief Gorotdel Vyborg in the Leningrad region and St. Petersburg).
   1994 - 1999's. - Leader of the Federal Tax Police Service in St. Petersburg, Lieutenant-General of Tax Police.
   1999 - 2000's. - Plenipotentiary Representative of RF President in the Leningrad region.
   2000 - 2011's. - Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian President in Central Federal District.
   August 31, 2011 confirmed as governor of St. Petersburg.
 He was awarded the Order "For Merit" IV degree (2003), the Order "For merits before Fatherland" III degree (2008) and other state awards.
 Married, have a son.

Kicheji Vice-governor of St. Petersburg, is responsible for addressing questions of scientific policy of St. Petersburg, higher, general, vocational and pre-school education, culture, mass media, including information about the activities of the Governor of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg Government and other executive public authorities of St. Petersburg, Youth Policy of St. Petersburg, collaboration with community organizations, as well as ensuring the coordination of the executive authorities of St. Petersburg in the field, the interaction of the Government of St. Petersburg with authorities and organizations working in this field.
Directly coordinates and supervises the activities of the Committee on Culture, Education Committee, the Committee on Science and Higher Education, Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with NGOs, the Committee for press and media.
