The Council of Rectors of St. Petersburg

Regional public organization "The Council of Rectors of St. Petersburg" (hereinafter - the Council of Rectors) is a voluntary, self-governing voluntary association, initiated by the rectors of the city, united by common interests.

Date of establishment of the Council - April 7, 1992.

The main purpose of the establishment and operation of the Council of Rectors is a comprehensive assistance to address current institutional, economic and social problems of higher education, public awareness of the problems of higher education.

Council of Rectors organizes study, synthesis and exchange of experience in higher education institutions, promotes the creation of various forms of professional development of teachers, the optimal use of their creative and scientific potential. Council of Rectors established ties with associations, unions, dealing with education, promotes progressive forms of research, development, inter-university cooperation and collaboration.

Priority activity of the Council is to promote the improvement of living conditions, health care students and university staff of St. Petersburg, the strengthening and development of inter-university training facilities.
